BEAUTIFUL

Since moving to Clinton, this has been my favorite place for shoots.  It is about three minutes from my house and beautiful no matter what the time of year.  Last winter we had an amazing snow storm, so I took off first thing in the morning to this, my favorite spot, to capture the amazing scenery.

This land was vacant and for sale.  It was unkept and that was the beauty of the place.  Snow piles in the winter, leaves in the fall, and awesome overgrown and out-of-control vines during the spring and summer.  This place has since been sold.  The barn was torn down, vines chopped away, and the windows replaced.  I still go there.  There is still beauty to be seen.  But it sure doesn't hold a candle to this!

ALL GOOD THINGS...

...to those who wait!  They finally found each other!  Meet Doug & Angie.  I have known Doug for two years now.  He has somehow found a lot of his time spent in our house and all the work that has needed to be done on it. Bless him for his friendship and care of our home.  It was so fun to meet Angie and spend some time with the both of them together.  Best wishes to them as they plan their future together.

CEDAR LIVESTOCK & HERITAGE FESTIVAL

I entered this photograph in the Utah State Fair a few years ago and won a second place ribbon.  You may recognize it from a post I did in tribute to Panguitch, Utah.

Well as a result of that entry my photograph traveled around the state to different exhibits, was sold to a few people, and was published in a book about the history of Panguitch.  Then about a year later I received a phone call from a woman who is the head of the Cedar City-Brian Head Tourism Bureau.  She was placed in charge of advertisement for the Cedar City Livestock and Heritage Festival.  She saw my photo in the Panguitch book and called me wanting to purchase a digital copy of this photograph to use in their advertisment.  Long story short...I am SO excited and honored!

MEET JOY

This is Joy.  Isn't she so beautiful.

When I met Joy I soon found out that she was a published author.  She told me that her second book was in the the works and soon to be published, but she needed to have someone help her create her book cover and do her head shot.  I quickly volunteered and she took me up on it.  It was truely an honor to work with her and take the photographs for her book cover and of her that will now be published in her second book.

Until the next book Joy...
